Bright is an origin of abia state, Nigerian but was born and brought up in Lagos where he initially picked interest in entertainment and Lagos being the major center of entertainment in Nigerian.

Basketmouth is a father of three children married to his longtime friend Elsie, the wedding was hosted in November 2010 in Lagos state, Nigerian.

Basketmouth initially was a drummer in 1991 before he started rapping discovered a group by name Da psychophat which consist of 7 people began making move by performance in several shows but not no well the group departed and he moved on with his brother Godwin into another organization Da oddz but with that styles can’t found breakthrough into Nigerian music scene.
Basketmouth eventually arose to the was comedy making different amazing skits and also performed on a stand up shows a comedy shows challenge battle.
He was joined AY on his popular show AY live and his style of comedy amazed his audience that also added to rapidly growth into global world.
He later own a record label in 2014 by name baron entertainment where he released his debut album titled yabasi 2020 the album featured music stars like flavour, phyno, Duncan mighty, ladipoe, and many others.
Basketmouth released his second album horoscope in 2022, this project comprises guest artists like reekado banks, oxlade, flavour, and dremo, he later announced his coming third album titled uburu, audience waiting to hear from him.
