Biography
Jackline Acheampong is a famous Ghanaian R&B, soul, Afro fusion singer, songwriter born December 16, 1999, she is well known as Gyakie (song bird), released her first studio single “love is pretty, which is immediately followed up with another track “never like this, in 2020 she dropped studio debut Ep seed, forever happened to be the lead single which eventually drove her to fame, in 2021 she ft. omah lay in the remix, the song top many charts in Kenya, Ghana, and Nigerian.
Early Life
Gyakie was born in Kumasi in Ashanti region, Ghana, grew up with her parents, her father Nana acheampong, a popular highlife singer.
Education
Jackline studied in T.I ahmadiyya senior high school in Kumasi, she later enrolled into kwame Nkrumah university of science and technology where she majored in international business.
Career
Gyakie journey of music started very at the age of eight cause she was born into family of musicians, her father lectured her on vocal training, guess is the reason for her rapid growth in music industry, she also listened to artists like Asa and omah Omar starling.
She released her first debut single love is pretty in February 2019, which actually gained some traffic, back it up with Never like this while her 5 tracks Ep Seed was released in August 2020, the sound with a massive streams and aid to build and increase her audience, later featured omah lay in the remix this version earned the Vodafone Ghana music awards international collaboration of the year forever (Remix)ft omah lay 2022.
Gyakie is in a deal with Sony music entertainment, RCA records UK and Sony music Africa, she released her second Ep in July 2022 titled My Diary featured one of the Nigerian famous artists Davido.
