Lasmid Nathaniel Owusu is a popular Ghanaian musician and a songwriter publicly known as Lasmid (fka charger), he gained fame with the hit song Friday night that went viral and also peaked in several top charts in Ghana, he hails from Takoradi a city in Ghana, won the MTN hitmaker season 8.
Career
Lasmid had been an underground artist for a long period but arose in 2019 as a result of contesting in MTN hitmaker season 8 competition eventually appeared as the winner, awarded with GH€120,000 recording contract, followed up with a deal signed by a Ghanaian music producer by named kaywa into highlife spiritual music.
The young star has worked with popular artists like sarkodie, dead peepol, mr Drew medikal, kofi kinaata, amerado, and jzyno.
Sika his popular track also contributed to his rapidly growth into Ghana entertainment and added to increased of his audience, he later featured a Ghanaian music star, kuami Eugene for the remix.
He is widely known in takoradi his hometown as multitalented singer and rapper, in 2023 one of the Nigerian famous artists naira marley had the interest of signing him but still on the agreement, lasmid went globally with the song butta my bread which a Liberian artist jzyno ft him.
