Damini ogulu was born on the 2nd july 1991 in port harcourt, he hails from the niger dalta,burna boy mother is a yoruba woman by name boss ogulu, his father named samuel ogulu, he have a brother called nissi ogulu a mechanical engineer, he also have a sister named romani ogulu a scientist and a designer, his mother danced for fela kuti, a former kalakula queen, his grandfather benson idonijie was once a band manager of fela kuti.

The superstar music career was inspired by Fela kuti bob Marley and king Suny Ade before he had a record deal with aristokrat records he had already dropped two mixtape burn notice and burn identity, on 12th Aug 2013 he dropped the debut album L.I.F.E, like to party as the lead song and some other track like yawa dey, run my race, all produce by leriq still under the aristokrat label, this album gained he noticed into the Nigerian music scene, in february 2015 spaceship entertainment was discovered by burna boy he was once in partnership with a record label called aristokrat before he found his own record label, he dropped his second debut album titled : on a spaceship in November 2015. followed by an Ep redemption in September 2016.

On 26th january 2018 burna boy came back into music scene with the released his third album tittle outsisde , that contains a top hit like rock your body, sekkle down, koni baje, ye, heaven’s gate. this album help he gain recognition into the international music scene, still the album won album of the year awards in Nigerian music scene.
Burna boy the port harcourt boy is considered world wild as African giant the superstar have come a long way he release his fourth album on 26th july 2019, african giant on the album contain songs like killin’ dem, dangote, anybody, on the low, gbona and so many others, all the track in this album is a hit song, in 2020 the album was nominated for the best world music album category at the 62nd annual Grammy awards . but he lost the award to angelique kidjo, burna boy was among the afrobeat singer that was invited by Beyonce’s to work with on her album in 2019 released the lion king: the gift. heja ara e, was his own record on the album.
