Tyla Laura Seethal is a famous southern African singer, and songwriter, born in Johannesburg a popular city in South Africa on 30 January, 2002, she is in a deal with Epic records in 2021, she began gaining notice in music industry after she released the song Getting Late ft Kooldrink.
She gained international recognized in 2023 after the released of the hit song Water which was a top song in many countries including United state, United Kingdom, South Africa, Nigerian, the sound peaked in US Billboard Hot 100 at No 55, tyla was nominated for Grammy awards in 2023/2024.
While still in school tyla started making numerous of covers and freestyle uploading in her instagram and other of her social media page but she was discovered by her first manager Garth Von Glehn who aid her in recording her first single.

Tyla music career officially started after her graduation of education in 2019 released her first debut single Getting late, which attracted massive streams and audience also gained an international attention, the music video was hold throughout the COVID-19 pandemic (lockdown) that later released the video in 2021 with a millions of views in YouTube also was nominated as the best music video of the year at 28th Southern Africa music awards in 2022, she released also another track in 2021/2022 “overdue, and To last.
Her hit track been thinking, which was the first single to introduce her widely to the world the song peaked on billboard mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop AirPlay and Rhythmic AirPlay charts. She was opportune to join the opening act of Chris brown for the under the influence Tour in 2023.
Tyla released another hit track Girl Next Door featured a popular Nigerian music star Ayra Star, she then followed it up with another tremendous hit song Water in july 2023 used as the lead single for her first self album.
